The Cubbly Beds' Story

Cubbly Beds began with a love for beautifully made furniture and a frustration at how limited the options were when it came to children's furniture.

Our founder, James, a long-time admirer of Scandinavian design and craftsmanship, saw a gap in the market: children’s beds that felt as thoughtful, well-built, and stylish as the furniture we choose for the rest of our homes. Most options were either overly themed or built to be temporary; more fast fashion than future heirloom.

So, Cubbly Beds was created to offer something different.

Every Cubbly bed is designed to combine timeless style with everyday practicality. Inspired by Montessori principles, our beds are low to the ground, made from solid wood, and built with your child’s comfort and independence in mind. But they’re also built with you—the parent—in mind: calm, natural finishes, clever design choices, and customisable options that make it feel like your own creation.
