The Hugo House Bed is part of our new Pure Wood collection — a simplified range designed for families who want Cubbly quality with a quicker turnaround. Built from solid European pine, each bed shows the natural beauty of the wood, complete with gentle knots and grain that make every frame unique.

With its house-shaped silhouette and low profile, Hugo brings Montessori principles into your child’s room, encouraging independence and safe, confident sleep. The removable guard rail covers 2/3 of the bed and adds peace of mind for younger sleepers, while the timeless Scandinavian look ensures it will grow gracefully with your home.

Because this range is made in set designs with no complex configuration, your bed ships in just 2–3 weeks — perfect when you need a beautifully built, dependable bed without the wait.

Who Are Cubbly Beds?

Cubbly Beds began with a love for beautifully made furniture and a frustration at how limited the options were when it came to children's furniture.

Our founder, James, a long-time admirer of Scandinavian design and craftsmanship, saw a gap in the market: children’s beds that felt as thoughtful, well-built, and stylish as the furniture we choose for the rest of our homes. Most options were either overly themed or built to be temporary; more fast fashion than future heirloom.

So, Cubbly Beds was created to offer something different.

Every Cubbly bed is designed to combine timeless style with everyday practicality. Inspired by Montessori principles, our beds are low to the ground, made from solid wood, and built with your child’s comfort and independence in mind. But they’re also built with you—the parent—in mind: calm, natural finishes, clever design choices, and customisable options that make it feel like your own creation.
